Kirsty Anne Powell Kirsty is the Founder and Director of Sketch, the London based creative consultancy established to give direction to designers and artists wishing to start their own creative business or pursue their career in design. Kirsty’s design background is within textiles. She founded Oromono, her own accessories label in 2003. Since the launch of her first collection, she has continued to design and sell her accessories worldwide and now has over 500 international stockists. She has created exclusive collections and commissions for leading names within the design industry such as The Conran Shop, Selfridges, Heals and Liberty. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Stockholm and Tokyo. Through establishing her label, Kirsty has an in depth knowledge of what it takes to set up, develop and run a successful design business. Her experience has led her to become a leading expert in getting a design product to market. Kirsty has learnt first hand what it takes work for yourself and to run your own business. She believes the experience and knowledge that industry professionals can offer, can play a vital part in educating those just starting out in their design career or wishing to set up a creative business.
